Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2025
Acceptance
By using Dailer, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms apply to all users, including individual users and teams.
What Dailer provides
Dailer is a call recording and transcription service for business teams. We provide:
- A web dashboard for managing contacts and viewing transcripts
- A desktop application for call recording and transcription
- Storage and search of call transcripts
Your responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable call recording laws in your jurisdiction
- Inform the other party when recording (where required by law)
- Use the service for legitimate business purposes only
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Not use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others
Recording consent
You are responsible for obtaining any legally required consent before recording calls. Dailer provides tools to help with disclosure, but legal compliance is your responsibility. Laws vary by jurisdiction — consult legal counsel if unsure.
Account and data
- You own your data (transcripts, contacts, recordings)
- We store transcripts to provide the service
- Audio recordings remain on your local machine
- You can export or delete your data at any time
- We may delete inactive accounts after 12 months of inactivity with prior notice
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Dailer is currently in alpha — features may change, and occasional downtime is expected. We'll communicate planned maintenance in advance when possible.
Pricing and payment
During the alpha period, all features are free. When paid plans are introduced, we'll provide at least 30 days notice. You won't be charged without explicit consent. Prices are in INR and include applicable taxes.
Limitation of liability
Dailer is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your transcript data will be deleted within 30 days unless you export it first.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
